You’re right about that in most cases – it must be a psychological thing to see something ranked at the top of a page has the impression of being more important than being ranked lower on a higher page, even though its not.

And YES! People see mainstream news sites and there is always a big contingent who want an alternative viewpoint! These are real thinkers who are not content to be spoon-fed bland, homogenised information that is supposed to satisfy the TV-dulled brains of the masses!
